The DSPLab is part of the Smart Internet and IoT (SIOT) research unit within the ICT group of the DITEN Department, Polytechnic School, at the University of Genoa, Italy.
At the DSPLab research is rooted in signals — the true foundation of every information system. Data don’t simply exist; they are uncovered and refined through advanced signal processing, turning raw inputs into meaningful insights.
Building on this vision, we design intelligent solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), with applications ranging from eHealth and telemedicine to smart mobility, infrastructure monitoring, and beyond.
From signal acquisition to real prototypes, we specialize in transforming raw data into intelligent insights, combining advanced processing, AI-driven analysis, and wireless technologies to power smart, real-world applications.
The DSPLab is actively engaged in scientific research, with numerous publications in international journals, conferences, and books. It participates in various national and international research and innovation projects and collaborates with industry as an academic partner for R&D activities and consulting.
In line with its academic mission, the DSPLab also contributes significantly to education, training, and lifelong learning.
